Assiyah
is the sweetest little girl I’ve ever met. She lives in her own little world- she is always skipping, singing to herself, dancing- she is all sparkles, rainbows, smiles, twirling! And she tends to daydream…I don’t know what she is thinking about, but she clearly enjoys herself no matter what she is doing. She’s strangely generous…the first day, she PAYED me. With money. As in she gave me coins. I tried to give them back, but she would not accept them. I felt horrible- this little girl probably has hardly anything at home and she’s giving ME her money- she doesn’t even know me! She said “tomorrow I’m givin’ you a dollar!” I snuck it back into her purse the next day, so you all don’t think I’m a horrible person for keeping her money haha. And the next day, she insisted on giving me a silly band! Which I kept, because she wouldn’t let me give it back. But also it was so sweet, and it will help me remember her generosity :) Today, she felt the need to exclaim to me, “I love learning!” And then she gave me a big hug and thanked me. Haha. I have a lot to learn from her…be thankful in all circumstances…
