Adventurous day…
We made the most of our only free Saturday in Buffalo :)
We walked around on Elmwood…a lovely street with lots cute shops :)

We went to this strange little music store…
And then ventured off to the Buffalo Zoo. Our favorites were the Capybaras…
The rocky mountain sheep…

The meerkats (does this one not look like Pippi?)
And then we went to Niagra Falls! We decided against going on the Maid of the Mist today, but we will definitely go back some time. But the falls are still beautiful and so amazing!

And then we went back into Buffalo to the beautiful Shea theater and saw WICKED! It was absolutely incredible. The best show I’ve ever seen. It’s essentially the back story of why the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz is “wicked.” It’s phenomenal and the voices were incredible! AHHH. It was the best. This is us by the sign, but we look awful and exhausted because we hadn’t eaten dinner yet.

The theater was beautiful…inside and out.

We grabbed some TGI Fridays before the show…And then it was time!!! Here’s a link to probably the most popular song in the show- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3g4ekwTd6Ig

So anyways, it was basically the best day ever. So many exciting things- I feel very blessed!
This morning we went to Renovation Church which was great. We loved it. The pastor spoke about Jonah and how when comfort becomes our idol, we forgo people. I felt this was especially applicable this week because Buffalo is slightly an uncomfortable place for me… I’m not used to cities. But if I let comfort become more important than people, I lose my chance to make a difference and learn from the amazing people here. Here’s a picture of the church (from my phone, so it’s a little yucky). Everyone sits at tables around the speaker. It was different, but I really liked it- it felt like a huge living room. They didn’t use the stage today because their band wasn’t leading worship. They just had one guy with a guitar.
And now I’m gearing up for another week in school. It’s gonna be a long one…with a few papers here and there. But it should be fun :) Ok bye!
